Here was a really cool paint scheme on one of the helicopters at the show:
There were several excellent airshow performances all day long on both Sat
and Sun:
The cool thing was that we were only about 500 yards from the runway.
Also performing were the US Army Golden Knights parachute team:
Talk about precision, These guys and gals could land exactly where they
wanted, even with a good 15 knot wind.
The ANG Hurricane Hunter's C130's were in attendance as well:
It unbelievable to me that several times a year, these guys and gals actually
fly right into the eye of a hurricane on purpose.
This beautiful B-25 bomber was there on display. He actually landed just
before me on Friday afternoon and was on hold on the taxiway along with me
for about 10 minutes:
Here is one of the C17 Globemasters. This thing is enormous. I like this
one because it has Mississippi on the tail. Hey, maybe this could be
Miss'ippi Mudbug II
As I walked around this monster of an airplane, I caught a little movement
up in the cockpit and snapped this picture of a future Air force pilot:
Here is an A10 Thunderbolt with cool nose art:
I wonder if I could fit one of those machine guns on the nose of the Mudbug?
No, I guess it would screw up my weigh & balance :>)
