The Bearhawk Hotel

This webpage lists places where you can stay for free while traveling the world in your Bearhawk or Patrol. If you're just passing through, intend to overnight, and would rather spend your money on avgas instead of a hotel, please feel free to give someone on this list a call - as they've offered up their homes to traveling Bearhawkers. If you would like to add your name, just let me know. Please include your phone number, airport info, smoking preferences, pets (yes/no), description of accommodations and anything else you would like to add. Email info to enewton57@cableone.net

Closest airport is Crystal (46CN). It is private and requires permission to land. Call Diane at 661-944-1341 for info. She will also need a fax of proof of insurance. I have a hangar there, but it is presently full with my vehicles while I am rebuilding Smokey in my garage, so a visiting plane would have to be tied down outside. Bring tie downs.
We have a 5th wheel or camper for accommodations, or a quest room if I ever get around to working on the house again. Nice, quite, relaxing place to hang out. No smoking in the house. We have two dogs and four cats. Dogs get along with everyone but the cats could present a problem for visiting dogs. Smoking outside.

Denver

Alex Kay - (303) 838-4666 home,  (845) 721-4854 cell
Airport: APA or BJC.  I am willing to host traveling BearHawkers! I haven't started building yet, soon I hope. I'm 50 mins from APA and BJC outside of Denver. We have a friendly dog so pets would be OK, smoking fine outside on the deck, we have a guest room and plenty of room. I could pick from either airport. The only rub is that due to work I'm only home every-other week, but I'm home the whole week.

Bethany

Mark Scott - (203)393-3187
Airport: MMK or OXC.   Tiedown both places, some hangar space at OXC but may be expensive. Non smoking. We have a Cat. Another cat is fine. A dog would probably have

local motel if desired. Gas is significantly cheaper at MMK than OXC.
