Michelle really liked the paint job on the Sportsman 2+2. I thought it looked a little too girlish:

This was a totally cool race boat and truck to tow it with.  Note that the back shell of the truck raises up to reveal flat screen TV's and a large speaker stereo system.  The truck was fully equipped with strobe lights:

After it landed, everyone got a nice close-up look at the A380 and the lines to tour the giant airplane inside were non-stop for the entire week:

It just doesn't get much better than this.  Sitting in the shade, under the wing of an airplane that you built yourself, and flew to Oshkosh, watching an awesome airshow:

This was a guy who put his wife out on the wing and flew an entire aerobatics routine with her standing on top.  Now that's love ;>):

He finally let her get back into the cockpit before landing. Here she is crawling back inside "don't fall honey, its a long way down":

Here is the new control tower at Oshkosh:

The annual Bearhawk Barbecue happened on Tuesday night.  Great grilled food, great Bearhawk conversations and new friendships made:

We camped in Camp Scholler. This was the main store in Camp Scholler that we used a lot and got our morning coffee each day. The "Red Barn" store had a sign that says, "If we don't have it, you don't need it".  We found that to be true.  They had everything that we forgot to bring with us (towels, lotion, batteries, Scotchguard for the tent, misc. camping supplies as well as all kinds of groceries):

Just down the street from the Red Barn store is the newly improved showers with real flushing toilets!  The showers are quite interesting as they are simply a single hose with a kitchen sink sprayer attached.  The water is warm but you have to hold the button on the sprayer and kind of rinse yourself off, like you would pots and pans.  I heard one guy talking about bringing some safety wire to twist around the sprayer button to make it spray all the time and then to wire the sprayer up to the copper tubing on the wall for a real shower-like feel.  Leave it up to a homebuilt airplane guy to come up with something like that :>)

Around the back of the Red Barn Store was the little Camper Cafe where we ate dinner almost every night:

Since our camp site had no electricity, we had to find a place to charge up our cellphones each day.  We found a plug-in on the wall around the side of the Red Barn store and charged our phones each morning as we had our morning coffee and planned our activities for the day.  Here is Michelle charging up our phones:
